RE: Possible to Launch Sametime Connect App via Browser? ~Ted Nonasonings 27.Feb.05 12:27 PM a Web browser Applications development 6.5.1All Platforms
Hey
Might I ask, why you want to do that? Java ST 6.5.1 would seem the obvious way since you can tie it in with Web SSO/LtpaTokens across multiple domino servers. Aadditionally, it works whether you have Sun or MS CM(Mozilla Firefox or IE)
Comparing it with desktop client of course it's slightly slower in starting up tasks but works fine. Certain security aspects (such as switching off automatic logon) you can control via ST server re. Java client.
Only way I see you may successfully run the desktop client via browser is by starting in on a WTS/Citrix server where the client is installed. Or some other form of WTS solution.
We run Notes/ST client off Citrix farms for some people who're accessing our ST service from outside (internet)
